Sticky Sesame Wings: Your New Favorite Finger Food!

Per serving, based on 4 servings:

  • Calories: 450 kcal

  • 2 lbs of chicken wings
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 whole lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Optional

  • Red pepper flakes for heat
  • 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha for an extra kick
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

How To Cook:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, drizzle with vegetable oil, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, brown sugar, lime juice, sesame oil, red pepper flakes minced garlic, grated ginger and sriracha.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch to create a slurry. Gradually add the slurry to the simmering sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Once the wings are done baking, place them in a large bowl. Pour the sticky sesame sauce over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.
  • Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds, fresh cilantro and sliced green onions on top.
  • Serve the sticky sesame wings hot, and enjoy!
