Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of chicken wings
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 whole lime juice
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Optional
- Red pepper flakes for heat
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha for an extra kick
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
How To Cook:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, drizzle with vegetable oil, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, brown sugar, lime juice, sesame oil, red pepper flakes minced garlic, grated ginger and sriracha.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch to create a slurry. Gradually add the slurry to the simmering sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Once the wings are done baking, place them in a large bowl. Pour the sticky sesame sauce over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.
- Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds, fresh cilantro and sliced green onions on top.
- Serve the sticky sesame wings hot, and enjoy!
